Anna and
I both grew up on farms where animals were very much a part of our
childhoods. I grew up in southeastern Saskatchewan and Anna grew up near
Leduc, not far from where we live now in the New Sarepta area of
Alberta, Canada. We have both always had a strong love for our canine
friends.
We
purchased our first Mastiff in 1998 and soon became hooked on this
magnificent breed. Our second mastiff came soon after, and it was not
long before we were active in showing our dogs, and members of a local
all breed dog club.
We
produced our first litter in 2002. When possible, we attend the Canadian
Mastiff Club & Mastiff Club Of America national specialties where we
have met many wonderful friends (Mastiff breeders) who we have of course
gathered as much knowledge from as possible. We are working members of,
and I am Vice-president of the Northern Alberta Canine Association. We
are members of, and I am Treasurer of the Canadian Mastiff Club. We are
also members of the Mastiff Club of America and the Canadian Kennel
Club. We strongly believe in and follow the Code Of Ethics of both the
Canadian Mastiff Club and the Mastiff Club Of America. Any dogs
considered for breeding must first pass stringent health and temperament
tests. We do not produce a lot of dogs, but when we do our breeding
program is about producing sound and healthy dogs while maintaining the
Mastiff breed standard. The health and well being of our puppies is
always our first priority. Potential puppy buyers are carefully selected
to ensure that all our puppies go to appropriate loving homes. All our
puppies come CKC registered, micro-chipped, health guaranteed and with a
lifetime of support. As responsible breeders we are committed to the
preservation of this wonderful breed. All puppies are sold and
registered with CKC non-breeding agreements. Our non-breeding agreement
will only be lifted when the dog has reached two years of age and the
appropriate health testing has been done and approved.

A Mastiff
puppy is truly what you make of it. You must be ready to give them the
love and time that they so demand and deserve. Time, socializing, and
doing basic obedience with your puppy is extremely important. Owning a
Mastiff, as with any dog, is a huge commitment. Before you choose a
Mastiff please do the research and make sure that the Mastiff is in
fact the right breed for you. The Canadian Mastiff Club
www.mastiffcanada.org and The MCOA (Mastiff Club Of America)
www.mastiff.org are excellent sources for information on the
breed.
Our
Mastiffs are a Love, a passion and a hobby.
